Two free women’s self-defence seminars are being held in Vancouver later this month.

Taking place on Saturday, January 28, and presented by DCS – Diaz Combat Sports and Thrive – Women Empowering themselves Through Self-Defence, the two seminars take place from noon to 1 pm, and 1 pm to 2 pm.

Participants can expect to learn the ABCs of self-defence, your basic legal rights during a confrontation and essential physical self-defence techniques.

“With the extra seminar added we will now have room for 100 attendees per seminar,” Thrive wrote on Facebook.

Those who are interested are reminded to click “going” on the event page to register.

“On January 26th, we will send out a registration message to those marked as attending – please respond with your preferred time,” Thrive added. The first 200 to reply will have a spot saved for them in the seminar.
