One woman dead following two-alarm fire in Yaletown apartment

A two-alarm fire was ignited in Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood just before midnight on Wednesday.

The Vancouver Fire Department has confirmed that a woman died from the fire, which was contained to a single suite of a building on Marinaside Crescent.

This marks the first fire fatality for Vancouver in 2018.

Fire investigators determined that the cause of the fire was accidental.
