Vancouverite Alana Thomas is being charged for allegedly selling alcoholic freezies at UBC’s Wreck Beach.

According to a report by The Province, the 31-year old will face 14 charges in court this week, with charges including unlawfully selling, the advertising and soliciting of ‘frozen alcoholic beverages’, manufacturing freezies, and the possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

University RCMP allege that last summer, she had been selling her ‘product’ of alcoholic freezies to the clothing-optional beachgoers at Wreck Beach. Undercover officers caught her soliciting, taking orders and selling her freezies.

On her online bio at Vancouver Entrepreneurs Mentors’ MeetUp page, she writes:

I’ve been making my own simple businesses since I was a child. Now I’m ready to step it up and play in the big league with the help of a mentor.

I’m looking to develop freezies that are cocktails fit for adults. Think our childhood Mr. Freeze but the contents actually being a lime margarita, strawberry daiquiri or some other delicious cocktail us big kids can enjoy! It’s like your childhood… only tainted! My goal is to get this product on the liquor shelves all throughout Canada by the summer of 2014.
