Abbotsford police arrested a woman for impaired driving with her child in the back seat of her vehicle.

According to AbbyPD, officers responded to the report of a minivan driving at high speeds through red lights at approximately 11 pm on Tuesday night.

Police initiated a traffic stop on Walker Crescent in central Abbotsford after seeing the vehicle driving on its tire rims. They proceeded to conduct a roadside breath test, which the female driver failed.

The woman’s five-year-old child was unsecured in a booster seat in the back seat of the vehicle during the traffic stop.

The woman was arrested, and police say charges for impaired operation of a vehicle have been recommended.
