One thing that I really love about Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, specifically, is it’s bright flavours, refreshing acidity and it’s ability to pair with my favourite foods. The People’s Sauvignon Blanc is no exception, and I especially love their creative label.
This wine pairs famously with anything that has a citrus flavour. Think lemon roasted chicken, fish barbecued in a citrus sauce and salads with a bright citrus dressing. For spring, it would be great with a shaved asparagus salad topped with lemon and parmesan dressing. For later in the summer, pair it with a grilled peach salad.
I love the green apple flavour of this wine, it’s refreshing and smells amazing. The taste is citrus forward, with notes of lemon and a bigger body than a typical summer white. Some minerality on the palate cuts the hint of sweetness, and the flavour lingers for a while with stone fruit and apricot notes.
