Win big and give back with the 2026 VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery

The 2026 VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery is officially underway, giving British Columbians a chance to win incredible prizes while supporting life-saving health care across the province.

This year’s lottery features 11 incredible Grand Prize options, including stunning homes in Vancouver, Langley, South Surrey, Pemberton, the Okanagan, and Vancouver Island. Or, winners can choose $2.3 million in tax-free cash instead of a home.

Each prize package also includes extras such as cars, furniture, travel gift cards worth up to $75,000, and additional cash prizes of up to $1.3 million.

In total, more than 2,000 prizes are up for grabs, valued at over $3.2 million. Early Bird prizes alone are worth more than $170,000, with options like a 2026 Kia EV9, a Honda Ridgeline, an around-the-world cruise package, or $125,000 cash.

This year, two of the Grand Prize homes are in Vancouver. The first is a 4-bed, 3-bath in Dunbar, one of Vancouver’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, and the second is a 3-bed, 3-bath near Oakridge, an area that’s undergoing an exciting redevelopment and soon to be a premium cultural, culinary and shopping destination.

Supporting healthcare

Last year’s lottery raised $5.4 million, which went towards funding essential medical equipment like surgical instruments, sterilizers, upgraded endoscopes for cancer detection, and advanced retinal surgery platforms.

“The VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery continues to be a powerful way for everyone in B.C. to support the health care innovation that patients rely on every day,” said Angela Chapman, President and CEO of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. “Every ticket purchased helps fund critical medical equipment that leads to more accurate diagnoses, efficient surgeries, and improves access to care.”

The lottery also supports the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, providing burn survivors with accommodations, mental health support, and the annual Burn Camp for young survivors.

The best way to buy tickets is in a bundle! You can purchase a four-pack of tickets for $85, eight-pack for $150, 21-pack for $325, and 40-pack for $550.

You can also take part in a Daily Cash PLUS Game with $375,000 in total cash to be won — with one winner of $25,000 and one winner of $100,000. And, there’s a 50/50 PLUS Lottery – a jackpot that could grow to over $3 million. One winner takes half!
