Iconic B.C. spot named one of the best resorts in North America
Condé Nast Traveller recently released its 2025 Reader’s Choice Awards, and one of B.C.’s most iconic destinations has earned a spot on the list.
The Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island was named one of the world’s best resorts, securing its place among some of the most luxurious stays in North America.
The rankings are based on percentages given for overall average levels of satisfaction.
In the United States of America and Canada category, Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino earned the third spot on the list with a score of 99.08.
It was one of two Canadian locations that made the cut, the other being Fairmont Banff Springs. The Alberta resort landed in ninth place with a score of 96.46.

Wickaninnish Inn celebrated its Condé Nast Traveller ranking on social media, stating that with over half a million readers casting their votes, it was “truly an honour.”
“This recognition reflects not only the meaningful experiences our guests have shared but also the unwavering dedication of our teams, who create the memorable moments we’re celebrated for,” the inn posted online.

This week, Condé Nast Traveller also revealed the best hotels in the country, and the top Canadian hotel this year is none other than the Magnolia Hotel & Spa in Victoria.
Also making the list at #6 is the Pan Pacific Vancouver, located along the waterfront in downtown Vancouver.
