Those who love their Whole Foods runs are about to appreciate them even more.

Because as of today, some product prices have dropped across the board by an average of 20%.

Amazon and Whole Foods Market have announced a third round of price cuts that mean new, lower prices on fresh produce for all customers.

And while the focus of the price investment was on the US, Whole Foods told Daily Hive that they have lowered prices on popular products in Canadian stores, too.

“Whole Foods Market continues to maintain the high-quality standards that we’ve championed for nearly 40 years and, with Amazon, we will lower more prices in the future, building on the positive momentum from previous price investments,” said John Mackey, Whole Foods Market co-founder and CEO, in a press release.

As of today, stores will be offering lower prices on hundreds of items, emphasizing seasonal produce like greens, tomatoes and more.

“When Whole Foods Market joined the Amazon family, we set out to make healthy and organic food more accessible. Over the last year, we’ve been working together tirelessly to pass on savings to customers,” said Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon Worldwide Consumer.

Whole Foods Market standards prohibit over a hundred preservatives, flavours, colours and other ingredients commonly found in food, such as high-fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated fats.

No antibiotics or hormones are allowed in the meat sold in the store’s meat department, and seafood in the seafood department is either sustainable wild-caught or responsibly farmed.
