Seahawks or Patriots? Here's who oddsmakers think will win Super Bowl LX

It’s time to stock up on snacks and to get your sports bets in order, as the matchup for Super Bowl LX has been locked in.
The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are set to clash in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8 to determine this year’s Super Bowl winner. This comes after a dramatic postseason that saw the Patriots knock off the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos en route to winning the AFC, while the NFC champion Seahawks bulldozed through the San Francisco 49ers before knocking off the LA Rams.
The Seahawks enter the game as the higher seed and have one of the best defences in the NFL. New England, on the other hand, is riding high on the back of 23-year-old quarterback Drake Maye and is looking to return to their winning ways for the first time since 2019.
So, what are the oddsmakers saying about the matchup?
The Seahawks are favoured to win, with FanDuel listing the point spread at 4.5.

Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is the betting favourite to take home Super Bowl MVP honours at +100, with Maye having the second-best odds at +230. Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the next Seattle player on the list at +600, while the next Patriots player is running back Rhamondre Stevenson at a lofty +3000.
Outside of the big game, there will be plenty of starpower on display. International rap star Bad Bunny will headline this year’s halftime show, while pop-punk icons Green Day will perform during the Super Bowl opening ceremony.
American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth will belt out the “Star-Spangled Banner,” which will be followed by 11-time Grammy winner Brandi Carlile performing “America the Beautiful,” and R&B artist Coco Jones singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” the black national anthem, all before kickoff as well.
There is Super Bowl history between these two teams, as Seattle is looking to avenge a 2015 loss at the hands of the Patriots. That game is well-remembered for an all-time blunder by Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, who refused to give the ball to Marshawn Lynch, and instead threw an interception at the Patriots’ goal line, thus handing the championship to New England.
It’s a moment that will be fresh on the minds of both fanbases when the game gets underway, which should only add to the atmosphere.
Super Bowl LX is set to kick off Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. EST/3:30 p.m. PST.
