There’s nothing quite as magical as waking up on Christmas morning to see your city blanketed in snow.

It’s the perfect excuse to head outside and relive your childhood by spending hours playing in the snow (post-opening presents, of course).

But what are your chances for getting a white Christmas in 2018?

Well, it’s now a heck of a lot easier to find out if your city is going to have a white Christmas thanks to a handy online calculator that tells you your city’s chance of having a snowy December 25 in addition to suggesting the closest city with a bigger chance of having a snowfall on the big day.

The Omni white Christmas calculator uses 30 years of climate research from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) with the National Weather Service Report from 2017 to make its predictions.

And clearly people don’t call Canada the ‘Great White North’ for no reason, the calculator revealed that there are a number of Canadian cities that have a 100% chance of a white Christmas this year including Iqaluit, Kenora, Whitehorse, Winnipeg, and Yellowknife.

As for Canada’s major cities, Montreal has the best chance, followed by Calgary, Toronto and then Vancouver.
