Dubh Linn Gate has been a popular watering hole in Whistler since 1997, and now the Irish pub has opened a Vancouver location in the Southeast False Creek area.
Vancouver’s Dubh Linn Gate offers patrons a great place to pull up and settle into a pint of draught craft or Irish beer, or sip on any of a couple dozen whiskeys on offer. As a delicious bonus, Dubh Linn Gate is serving up dishes from a robust menu of elevated Irish classics and exciting modern pub fare.
Head Chef Victor Pulleyblank is behind Dubh Linn Gate’s eclectic menu that showcases Irish flavours using fresh, local ingredients. While you can order up a traditional plate of bangers and mash or some fish and chips, diners can also enjoy the more delicate whiskey-cured steelhead with dense, hearty soda bread, or the delightfully unexpected curry-tinged sweet-and-spicy vinaigrette on a beautiful shrimp and butter lettuce salad.
The interior is warm and welcoming, and the decor reflects a savvy meld of authentic vintage Irish ephemera and locally-sourced building and accent materials. The already-spacious pub has plans to add seats via a patio and a soon-to-be-installed balcony area.
Dubh Linn Gate also plans to offer music just about every night they can; see what talents are gracing their intimate stage on the pub’s calendar.
