Whistler’s World Ski & Snowboard Festival is one of the most anticipated events this season.
In under two hours, you can drive from Vancouver to Whistler and experience the ambiance of this diverse festival running from April 7 to 16.
Celebrate this year’s epic ski season by watching the Canadian Junior Freestyle National Championships. Junior freestyle skiers will be competing for national titles in halfpipe, slopestyle and big air categories.
Skiing is just one of many things you can enjoy at the festival with photography, filmmaking, and art events taking place throughout the village. There will also be plenty of opportunities to party with daily après ski and non-stop nightlife from the Kokanee Freeride Club Series.
During the festival, you have the chance to test out the latest in ski and snowboarding technology. This might even give you an idea of the new board you want to hit the slopes on next season.
And what would a festival be without music? Don’t worry, the World Ski & Snowboard Festival is packed full of musical entertainment, so there will be a soundtrack to your trip.
This year, the festival’s free FIDO outdoor concert series is hosting an impressive lineup at the Skier’s Plaza stage, in front of the Excalibur Gondola and Whistler Village Gondola.
Busta Rhymes, Swollen Members, Virginia to Vegas, and Walk Off The Earth along with many other artists. Check out the 2017 lineup.
