The 6th annual Whistler GO Festival returns this May long weekend

GO Fest, Whistler’s annual ‘great outdoors’ festival is making a return for the sixth annual year.

The action-packed festival takes over Whistler during the May long weekend. The event, which is an initiative by the Resort Municipality of Whistler, is a celebration of both winter and summer.

Most events during the festival are free, although a select few will have signup fees.

Participants can take part in outdoor clinics for activities like stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, yoga, cycling, and sailing, to name a few.

Not to mention, plenty of free concerts, workshops, and street entertainment taking place in the village. Some of the festival’s confirmed performances include Corb Lund, Jesse Roper, and Said the Whale.

“GO Fest brings incredible energy to Whistler that has transformed May Long Weekend into a really unique time for adventurers to visit Whistler and for locals to stay home and play,” said Whistler Mayor Jack Crompton. “It is truly a celebration of the junction between winter and summer.”

The Whistler GO Fest takes place from Friday, May 17 to Monday, May 20, 2019.
