The region’s heat wave will continue today with the forecast calling for temperatures to peak at 27ºC by the water in Vancouver and in the mid-30s at both Abbotsford and Whistler.
However, this will be followed by a week of rain beginning tomorrow, although indications so far by Environment Canada show that any precipitation received should be relatively light and periodical.

Despite cloud cover and rain, temperatures are expected to remain relatively warm in the mid to low 20s. Cloud cover could dissipate daily e by late afternoon daily to evaporation and heat.
The anticipated short period of wet weather could provide some much-needed relief for the forest fire fighting effort and improve air quality. Currently across the province, there are over 1,000 fires burning.
