There's a free art market in downtown Vancouver and it's on every Sunday

Canada is home to some of the most incredible artists and many of those are based right here in Vancouver.

To celebrate and showcase our exquisite local talent, West End Arts has launched a weekly art market. It’s taking place every Sunday from now until the end of October in Jim Deva Plaza, between Davie and Bute Streets and you’ll want to check it out.

You’ll find the bustling, colourful market filled with local artists and artisan food vendors selling their own creations. And you can hear local musicians performing live, too.

It’s really the perfect venue for up-and-coming musicians to perform and offers an awesome vibe for market attendees. And the best part? It’s free to attend the market, plus you can even hit up local bars on the Davie strip when you leave if you want to.

Sunday Art Market/West End Arts

Vancouver’s West End has more artists than any other neighbourhood in the city as more than 4,000 professionals live here.

The West End Sunday Art Market is inviting creatives to have their art showcased in the local community. The market itself has been created to celebrate the wealth of art and diversity in the city, connecting creative people from all ages and walks of life.

And it’s not just limited to West End artist – the market is also open to artists and artisans from across Vancouver and BC.

The key criteria is that the seller is local and also the maker.

So if you’re an artist and you want to apply to have your works featured at the market, or if you’re a musician, you can easily apply by emailing [email protected] or through WEArts.ca.
