Track issue leads to bus bridge for some stops along West Coast Express

Dec 12 2024, 12:21 am

Bad news for commuters through parts of Pitts Meadows and Maple Ridge Wednesday afternoon after an issue on the West Coast Express.

That’s according to TransLink, which flagged a track issue that would impact the commuter rail service between Maple Ridge Meadows Station and Port Haney.

TransLink shared the information on its website before the evening trains and explained that a bus bridge would be put in place.

“Customers intending to disembark at Port Haney must transfer to a bus bridge at Maple Meadows Station to continue. Mission City Station-bound customers will be unaffected,” it shared.

The news comes amidst ongoing complaints from commuters due to a series of power outages impacting service on other routes earlier this week. TransLink told Daily Hive that they were investigating the causes of those outages.
