Water St. Cafe celebrates 30 years with gala and 'blast from the past' menu
An iconic staple of the Gastown landscape is about to celebrate a major milestone.
Water St. Cafe is turning 30, and it’s their first birthday under the new ownership of Eli Brennan and Alan Tse. Over the past year, the pair brought their unique vision to the Water Street Cafe, bringing new excitement and offering a fresh take on a classic menu.

Eli, Chef Alan, and the Water Street Cafe team will be celebrating their big milestone throughout the month of November, and they want to share that excitement with you.
Theyâll be showcasing guest memories and stories from the past 30 years. Chef Alan has also created a special âblast from the pastâ menu that will available throughout November so that you can enjoy some of the most popular dishes from the past three decades!

Ahead of the gala, the restaurant is collecting stories from guests who have dined there over the last 30 years. You can submit yours by email to [email protected], and submissions will be shared on the restaurant’s Facebook page in November.
