The race for the AL East Division crown is coming down to the wire, but you won’t find tonight’s pivotal Toronto Blue Jays game in its usual spot.

The Blue Jays were able to pick up a massive 6-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Thursday night, keeping them in the top spot of the AL East Division. Toronto is tied with the New York Yankees with identical 91-68 records, but the Blue Jays hold the tiebreaker.

Fans from all across Canada will want to tune in to tonight’s game, though they won’t find it on Sportsnet. Tonight’s Blue Jays game against the Tampa Bay Rays is part of Apple TV+’s Friday Night Baseball package, which has carried selected games each week of the regular season since 2022.

There may be a bit of confusion over this particular game, as the Blue Jays were supposed to be streamed on Apple TV last Friday. That changed, however, when Sportsnet proposed a deal with Apple to swap games, as there was a good chance the Blue Jays would clinch a playoff spot the last week.

Apple TV+ is available for $12.99 monthly in Canada, which includes a free seven-day trial for new subscribers. Devices such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, Windows PC, Android mobile devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, and cable set-top boxes can all be used to watch the game via the Apple TV app or on Apple TV’s website.

The Blue Jays will play the Rays Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to wrap up the regular season. If the Jays win all three, they will clinch the AL East Division and receive a bye past the wild-card series. If they lose even one, however, it could open the door for the Yankees to surpass them and steal the division title.
