The TED conference is back in Vancouver for a second consecutive year, and once again there will be several places around town where locals can catch a free live stream of the talks.

From March 16 to 20, TED2015 will bring together “global thought leaders” from multiple areas of interest, including cience, business, the arts, and international issues.

So far, there are 11 locations that will be hosting live web streams of the conference:

  • Vancouver Public Library
  • Science World
  • University of British Columbia, Faculty of Education and main library branch
  • Vancouver International Film Centre
  • Potluck Café Society
  • Langara College
  • Emily Carr University of Art + Design
  • The AMP
  • Vancouver Community Network
  • Wolrige Foundation
  • David Suzuki Foundation

Please note: Some of the educational institutions and non-profits are showing the TED live stream for their constituents. Members of the public should check with the venue to confirm their details.

More venues may be added, as the application period for schools and non-profits to host live streaming is open until March 9.

“Expanding the live-streaming around Vancouver will make the event more open and accessible than ever before, and will ensure that TED’s ‘Ideas worth spreading’ contribute even further to Vancouver’s emergence as a leading-edge city of innovation,” said Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson.
