Want to see Vancouver's newest show? You'll have to find it first

DH Vancouver Staff Oct 06, 2015 10:34 am

Theatre usually suggests that there’s a stage, right? Not so with Alien Contagion: Rise of the Zombie Syndrome.

The “virtual theatre experience,” put on by The Virtual Stage, features roving actors, smartphone-activated clues and games, alongside a story as mysterious as it is immersive.

The set-up is this: an alien craft has crash landed in Vancouver, the extraterrestrial pilot injured and on the run. There are rumours of a contagion capable of bringing the dead to life, with a hunger for human flesh. Can you track down the crash site, find the pilot, and stop the infection?

You’re going to have to find the location first.

That’s right: Alien Contagion is a totally secret show. Hopeful viewers will receive instructions on where to meet the day of the show, but until then the location is unknown. Past shows have taken place in Downtown Vancouver and Granville Island, but not much exists in the way of hints. For more information, you can follow The Virtual Stage on Twitter, Facebook, or check out their FAQ.

Good luck.
