The Waldorf Hotel's Tiki Bar Celebrates 60 Years This Saturday, December 12
Nestled in the heart of East Vancouver is The Waldorf Hotel’s historic Polynesian inspired Tiki Bar which is celebrating their 60th anniversary this Saturday, December 12.
Throughout the night, ever hour on the hour, the music in the Tiki Bar will change to celebrate every decade the bar has been open starting with the 50’s all the way up to the 00’s. Local legend Vinyl Ritchie will be taking care of music selections from the beginning of the night right up to the 1980s where the Dream Suite Saturday residents, Thomas Maxey and Kalibo, will be take over from the ’90s up to current day.
Additionally, Christina Schell will be producing a live dance performance and art installations within the Tiki Bar with Darren Woodhead producing the visuals for the rest of the hotel.
Joining in on the festivities in the Tabu room, Tank Gyal from Ting!, R&B Funk Band – Daddy and The Full Death Experience, Wolfey and Samuel Scott will be providing tunes; a little something for everyone. From Electric Input, Dr. Seiz and Spurz will be holding it with their curated roster of DJs down in The Hideaway all night.
