The Vancouver Police Department will be checking hundreds of limousines and party buses this coming weekend after handing out 23 tickets over the previous weekend.

Police want to ensure that all companies are complying with the Motor Vehicle and Liquor Control and Licensing Acts. “We want to ensure that grads celebrate responsibly and reach their destination safely during this busy season,” said Inspector Les Yeo with the Vancouver Police Traffic Section.

Last weekend, Vancouver Police checked 55 vehicles and handed out 23 tickets, one of which was handed out to an operator of a limousine with no valid driver’s license. An officer seized the license of a driver who was under the influence of drugs.
