Virtual Vancouver Artist Showcase @ The Roundhouse

Dec 19 2017, 11:53 am

Virtual-Vancouver.com is hosting a FREE, yeah you heard correct a FREE Artist Showcase at the Roundhouse Community Centre on Friday October 23rd 2009 from 7pm-11pm. It is an event that spotlights Vancouver artists in the mediums of painting, sculpture and photography. This event is sponsored by Charm Modern Thai and Jackson Triggs and will feature artwork that will be available for sale at both the real-world and virtual-world art galleries.

The event assists up and coming artist to display their works of art for a fraction of what it would cost to host their own show. It is also meant to give artists an idea of how they can use online outlets like Virtual-Vancouver to market their art and build relationships and client bases.

The evening will feature:

  • Cash Bar
  • Live band
  • Door Prizes
  • FREE Catered Hors d’oeuvres
  • FREE Cheese tasting by BC Foodies
  • Meet and Greet with the Artists
  • Live Painting session with local artist Carl Chaplin

Imagine investing a little over 400 hours into one painting. Imagine having another 100 to go. Carl Chaplin will be doing a live painting session this evening at the Roundhouse Community Center, putting his incredible airbrushing skills on display. Watch as he works on completing his piece on the Royal Hudson, as featured on his website www.carlchaplin.ca

WHERE:  Roundhouse Community Centre @ Pacific and Davie, Vancouver BC

WHEN: Friday October 23rd, 7pm – 11pm

The event will not only be held at the physical venue but also inside of our virtual art gallery inside of Virtual-Vancouver.com. The event features live web streams of the virtual and physical gallery experience allowing you to get a taste no matter where you are. The online venue already hosts a range of art galleries, in which artists have been able to promote and sell their work while interacting directly with customers’ worldwide and building relationships.

This is a really neat idea and I for one can’t wait for this event.
