Virgin Mobile Ads Too Racy?

Dec 19 2017, 12:01 pm

Last week both Calgary and Mississauga (Toronto’s version of Surrey) transit authorities pulled the new Virgin Mobile campaign “Hook Up Fearlessly” due to customer complaints. Personally, I really don’t see what the big deal is about these ads, as I’ve seen what some might consider far worse sprinkled across the Lower Mainland.
For example has anyone seen the recent, “How to Look Good Naked” in front of Bentall’s BMO tower on Dunsmuir? That in my opinion is in the same league as these ads, but even that ad is no reason to complain.
As for the Virgin Mobile ads, so what if two guys are kissing (by the way the gay ad never was used in Calgary, those Calgarians were offended by the one on the left, go figure) it’s 2010 get over it people.

Can you think of other ads at bus shelters they’ve seen that are far worse?
