Vigil For Captain

Dec 19 2017, 2:00 pm

Last week a shocking discovery was made in Kitsilano. A dog named Captain was left clinging to life in a dumpster. He died shortly after he was found. On Wednesday, July 25, 2012 a vigil will be held at Kits Beach at 7pm.

From the Facebook event page:

Captain, the german shepherd found in a Kitsilano dumpster, passed away on the evening of Thursday, July 19th.

The two year old dog had been viciously beaten, nearly to death, and left to die in a dumpster allegedly by his owner.

Animal abuse is everywhere, but Captain’s story is incredibly sad.

We are seeking justice for Captain, and we are holding a vigil in memory of him on Wednesday evening, one week after he was found close to death.

We’ll be meeting near the tennis courts at Kitsilano beach and will walk to the dog park a short walk away. Please bring candles and furry family members.

To contribute to the investigation of this, please visit this page, set up by Nat & Drew at Virgin 95.3 http://www.indiegogo.com/justiceforcaptain?c=home

Please be sure to share with friends to make this event a big one!
