
A BC-based distillery has won big at the 2019 World Whiskies Awards – an annual competition attracting the best international whisky brands.
Victoria Caledonian Distillery’s single malt spirit was named Best Canadian New Make Whisky.

The Vancouver Island-based distillery boasts heavy Scottish influence with traditional distillation techniques, Scottish copper pot stills (a tool used to distill alcoholic spirits), and BC-grown barley.
The result? A single malt, “new make” whisky with a smooth finish and fruity undertones.
The Vancouver Island-based distillery also took home a bronze medal for their Macaloney’s Twa Cast Islay blended Scotch.
