There’s just over one month to go until Vancouver Fashion Week’s opening gala and while we check daily to see who has been confirmed, we are also strategizing the reality of attending VFW everyday.
Difficulties such as how to take a week off work and not get fired, organize daily duties to happen between 9 a.m. and noon so as to allow four hours to prepare for that days runway posing, pre-packing snacks and beverages to get through that long 4 to 9:30 p.m. stretch without gnawing at your new manicure, and the most difficult task of coordinating seven different outfits that represent your personal style in a fresh way everyday!
Last March – Vancouver Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014 – attendees feasted on the colourful chaos that was Nadia Mustafa and Zehra Mustafa’s streetwear line. The twins crashed hard into the taste wall and assaulted our senses with Lego headpieces, colourful feathers, googly glasses and a big ‘f**k you b*tch’ to all watchers! The audience loved it and images hit social media before the runway was over.
Since their last Vancouver appearance, the Twins have relocated to Bologne, Italy, where they have begun a fashion collaboration with 30 year fashion industry veteran Angela Mele Milano, who will be investing in their brand.
They have released a two image teaser from their latest photoshoot in London which features patterned onesies.
