Veggie burgers move over, the wraps are here

McDonald’s Canada has introduced its first meatless options to the menu in over a decade in two distinct flavours and we gave them a try.

On the menu, are the two new Signature McWrap™ flavours:

Mediterranean Veggie McWrap is loaded with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, shredded lettuce and feta cheese, topped with lemon crispy onions, roasted garlic hummus and mediterranean sauce, all wrapped in a warm whole wheat soft-shell tortilla.

Santa Fe McWrap is bursting with fresh tomatoes, red onions, shredded lettuce, fire roasted corn & black beans, with crispy tortilla strips. Topped with monterey and cheddar cheese, with chili lime glaze and southwest sauce – all wrapped in a warm whole wheat soft-shell tortilla.

Our favourite is the Mediterranean Veggie McWrap. As fans of all things Mediterranean we found that the flavour combination held up nicely against the veggies and whole wheat tortilla. The real feta cheese gives it a nice kick and brings the Mediterranean flavours together. Also, the hummus was a nice and surprising ingredient that made the wrap that much more appealing; so flavourful that we didn’t even miss the chicken!
