Thought hanging a few strings of lights on your house was a big chore? Try hanging over a million.
VanDusen Garden Festival of Lights is a magical, beautiful, enchanted evening that all Vancouverites need to experience. Truly, words do not do the VanDusen Gardens justice, but we will try our best.
With five new acres of lights, this year plans to be bigger and better than ever. Stroll with family and friends through the twinkling gardens, and interactive themed areas. Watch the Dancing Light shows on the Lake, the gnome performance (a must if you’ve brought the kids) and a number of new shows premiering at the garden this year.
This year’s sponsor, YVR, has create the ’Jardins de Paris.’ A romantic Parisian getaway in the middle of the Vancouver garden. Take a selfie with VanDusen’s own Eiffel tower and you could win two tickets to see the actual monument in Paris. Make sure you share your selfie on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #JardinsDeParis.
The VanDusen Festival of Lights is a must see this holiday season. Not only is it the perfect backdrop for your perfect holiday selfie, but also a go-to destination for a picturesque winter date, family stroll, and evening spent sipping hot chocolate with old friends. Also, since no one likes waiting in lines, especially in the winter, you can purchase tickets ahead of time, online at Tickets Tonight. All Festival of Lights tickets include free entry to Vancouver’s new event, Enchanted Nights at Bloedel, which starts on December 4.
The garden is open December 1 to 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with late nights (10 p.m.) from December 18-23 (Closed December 25). Be sure to share all of the memories you make at VanDusen with the hashtag #VanDusenFOL.
