Soon the Christmas season will be in full swing as many themed events start next week (see our posts on the Vancouver Christmas Market, Vancouver Santa Claus Parade and Vancouver Art Gallery tree lightning ceremony). The VanDusen Gardens annual festival of light is the another great annual tradition and perfect  for  date night and/or a family getaway during the Christmas season.

What could be more romantic and more magical than spending an evening strolling amidst hundreds of thousands of brightly twinkling lights while sipping on hot chocolate and listening to seasonal music?

When: Opening Friday, December 10th and running through to Sunday, January 2nd,
Time: Festival of Lights is open every evening (except December 25th when the Garden is closed) from 4:30 to 9 p.m.
