1.4 million twinkling lights at VanDusen's Festival of Lights

Dec 19 2017, 5:13 pm

Festival of Lights features just over 1.4 million lights, including a music light show that runs periodically every night between 4:30pm and 9:00pm. While the light show is spectacular, the energy and spirit of the event is what is truly special. Nothing is going to put you in the spirit of Christmas faster than enjoying the lights with other visitors who are all there to have a great time.

There is a Dancing Light show which takes place every half an hour beginning at 4:30pm. Be entertained by the Scandinavian Gnomes and the Shadow Puppet Show, take photos with Santa (Dec 11-24), make a wish at the “Make-A-Wish” candle grotto, see the Parade of Lego exhibit in the Make-A-Wish ‘Room of Joy’ and listen to the community choirs at 6:00pm and 7:30pm from Dec 11 to Dec 20 and featured choirs Dec 21 to Dec 23. There are also special themed areas: Gingerbread Wood, Golden Chain Walk, and Candy Cane Lane.
