Trulioo, the leading global identity verification provider, was awarded Deloitte’s coveted 2014 Companies-to-Watch Award, as part of the Deloitte 17th annual Technology Fast 50 Awards for its innovative technology, management expertise and early stage growth.

The Companies-to-Watch Award honours early-stage Canadian technology companies in business for less than five years. The winners are selected based on the potential they show for future growth. They exemplify many characteristics of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranked companies.

Stephen Ufford, Founder & CEO of Trulioo, credits the company’s early-stage success to the talented, hard-working team who are focused on delivering a robust and comprehensive identity verification solution for their 300-plus customers worldwide.

“It’s such an honour to be recognized by one of the most prestigious business award programs in the country,” said Ufford. “Our team is deeply committed to providing frictionless, on-demand electronic ID verification to help drive business performance for our clients all over the world. You will find dedication, passion and talent from each and every one of our team members.”

“Companies-to-Watch are the future technology leaders of Canada and show a high potential for future growth. Often, they go on to rank in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50,” said Pascal Lamoureux, Partner and Leader for Deloitte’s Fast 50 program.

To qualify for the Companies-to-Watch Award, candidates must have been operating less than five years. They must also be headquartered in Canada and devote a significant portion of their operating revenues to creating proprietary technology and/or intellectual property.

Trulioo was founded in 2011 with a mission to solve global problems associated with verifying identities online.
