Jul 11 2017, 3:25 am

Vancouver’s vibrant Japanese community will be front and centre at the Powell Street Festival this August.

The festival will celebrate Japanese culture, arts, and heritage at both indoor and outdoor venues along Powell Street.

Running since 1977, this August will mark 41 years of the Powell Street Festival taking place in Vancouver.

The two day event will include martial arts demonstrations, an amateur sumo tournament, children’s activities, walking tours of the historic neighbourhood, Japanese food, and more.
