Vancouverite flies Stanley Cup live through Periscope

Dec 20 2017, 12:52 am

Tradition has it that every member of the winning Stanley Cup team gets a day with The Cup. Well today, Tsawwassen’s own Brent Seabrook is getting his third day to celebrate with Lord Stanley’s mug after the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Tampa bay lightning in the 2015 NHL Stanley cup playoffs.

So what’s the plan? After the morning parade in his hometown of Tsawwassen and meeting the mayor, Brent is teaming up with last year’s ALS Ice Bucket helicopter pilot, and Vancouverite Bradley Friesen, who helped Paul Bissonnette pull off one of the most spectacular and highly viewed videos of last year’s viral phenomenon. They plan to take the Cup high into the B.C. mountains and capture something spectacular, before flying on to a private party in B.C.’s interior.

You can join in on a portion of the ride with Brent, the Keeper of the Cup and the Stanley Cup on Periscope live now through Bradley’s Twitter account, @BradleyFriesen.
