Vancouverite creates 365 Days of Post-Its

For her past year’s resolution, Jen Yamasaki committed herself to illustrating on a Post-It note for everyday of 2014.

She started this project with a simple goal in mind, to get off of hercomputer and spend a portion of everyday doing something that she loves, illustrating and being creative. Over the course of the year, she realized this wasn’t as simple a goal as she first thought.

“We live such busy lives that often finding the time to do something for ourselves, every day, feels impossible. However, even though the relationship I had with what I loved became more complex with every crumpled post-it note, it was absolutely worth it,” says Jen.

“The things I’ve learned about perseverance and willpower throughout this process are invaluable,” continues Jen.

The main message of this whole project is to “Think big, start small, but most of all, start.”  This project gave Jen the confidence to tackle more ambitious creative projects in the new year, something we all aspire to in the beginning of the year but life just gets in the way.
