Vancouver woman dies after being hit by a dump truck

A Vancouver woman has died after she was hit by dump truck this morning.

The 31-year-old was crossing the intersection at East Broadway and Rupert Street at 9:30 a.m. when she was struck by the trailer of a dump truck making a right turn.

The driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators. The Vancouver Police Department are on the hunt for witnesses and are canvassing the area for video footage.

This marks Vancouver’s 5th pedestrian death of the year and the 6th traffic fatality.
