Celebrate the night at the Vancouver Winter Solstice Lantern Festival 2015

DH Vancouver Staff Dec 01, 2015 8:45 am

Celebrate the beginning of Winter’s end at the 22nd Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival.

Taking place every year on the longest night, the Winter Solstice Lantern Festival brings communities together with a self-guided lantern tour, spread out over a series of blocks in various neighbourhoods in Vancouver.

On December 21, from 6 to 10 p.m., lanterns will be placed at key points throughout Granville Island, Kitsilano, False Creek, Yaletown, Chinatown, and Strathcona, creating a vibrant path for families, friends, and loved ones to walk and enjoy.

Now in its 22nd year, the Winter Solstice Lantern Festival is one of Vancouver’s best kept secrets, and one that shouldn’t be missed.
