Soccer fans rejoice! The Vancouver Whitecaps are kicking off in less than a month and have lots going on around the city to lead up.
Some may have noticed the guerrilla marketing around town. There have been people and random pieces of public art draped in Whitecaps gear, videos being shot around the city, and there will be many event announcements between now and March 19.
Attendance is expected to be huge. Whitecaps CEO, Paul Barber, announced today that season tickets have reached 15,500 with plans to cap at 16,500. Single game tickets went on sale yesterday for the first three games. The season opener is vs. Toronto FC.
Vancity Buzz is excited for the season and looks forward to covering the Whitecaps in-depth.
