The Dome Sessions: A Taylor Swift Night

What: A unique Taylor Swift event is coming to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre this week.
The show is a collaboration between Dome Vancouver and Sofar Sounds. Described as a “one-of-a-kind night,” three musicians will be re-imagining Swift’s greatest hits from all her albums, from Debut to Life of a Showgirl. Those musicians are “secret performers.”

Spooky Postcard Show 2
What: One More Life hosts the second edition of the Spooky Postcard Show, showcasing 50 artists and their postcard-sized eerie artworks from Oct. 24 to Nov. 15.
Opening weekend includes an opening reception with a snack and beverage bar on Friday, with costumes welcome. There will also be an artist market on Saturday with a free postcard workshop for children.

Central Spark in Burnaby
What: The City of Burnaby once again hosts Central Spark this Halloween season, with fun events and activities in and around Central Park. Enjoy spooky entertainment, a DJ dance party, food trucks, photo ops, a drone light show, and more.
Costumes are highly encouraged, and don’t miss the fireworks finale in Central Park at 7:30 p.m.

Matthew Good and I Mother Earth

What: Two of Canada’s leading alternative rock acts of the ’90s, the Matthew Good Band and I Mother Earth, are on a cross-country tour this fall. Each band will play their own full electric sets, as well as offering a combined VIP acoustic set to fans.

Amour, acide et noix (Love, Acid and Nuts) by Daniel Léveillé (Montreal)
What: DanceHouse presents Daniel Léveillé’s Amour, acide et noix (Love, Acid and Nuts). Set against a score of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, pop music, and birdsong, Léveillé uses the mechanics of arms, legs, torsos and skulls to plumb the very nature of the human condition. Note: the performance includes nudity.
As the dancers move through a series of entanglements, the shock of nudity dissipates, aided by a hint of humour that runs beneath the solos, duets, and ensemble work.

A Nightmare on Water Street at Little Mountain Gallery

Then the talented performers from The Upfront Theatre will take the stage for improvised short tales made up entirely in darkness.

The Dagerpaatch
