Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Celebration and Parade

What: The 52nd Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Celebration is happening on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year.
The popular event is expected to draw over 5,000 participants and more than 100,000 spectators to the historic neighbourhood, with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and more for everyone to enjoy.

Family Day Reflections of Vancouver’s Black History
What: The Fade To Black Entertainment Society Black History Month event is a celebration of some of Vancouver’s local Black business and cultural trailblazers.
The event will honour Andre of Riddim & Spice Restaurant and his 40 years on Commercial Drive. Guests will also dance to DJ Earl Da Pearl, take in a performance by Phyllis Adelyne, and hear from special guest keynote speakers.
There will also be a tasty meal, raffle prizes, and more to enjoy.

Love Your City
What: Seventeen Business Improvement Associations (BIAs) of Vancouver have come together to help you show love to your city and to the many fantastic small businesses that make this place so amazing.
The annual February contest is all about love in Vancouver, B.C. And this year, everyone is invited to rediscover and reconnect with the city by playing tourist for the month. So, get out those cameras, maps and passports and fall in love with Vancouver all over again.
Along the way, maybe meet a new friend, call up someone to head to a neighbourhood with or text a friend who’s far away with a “wish you were here.” It’s all about reconnecting with the city and the people you love.

What: The concert celebrating Black/African descent music showcases a lineup of acclaimed B.C.-based artists, including Brandon Thornhill and Leo D.E Johnson (vocalists), Olaf de Shield (MD/guitarist), Russell Jackson (bass), Carlos Joe Costa (percussion), and guest pianist Benjamin Sigerson.
Ebony Roots is visiting eight communities across the province during Black History Month, including stops at Coquitlam’s Evergreen Theatre on Feb. 19 and Vancouver’s Roundhouse Community Centre on Feb. 20.

Ola Dada
What: Nigerian-born, Canada-based comedian Ola Dada is hitting the road this February as part of the Just For Laughs Western Canada Tour, including a major milestone performance in Vancouver on Feb. 20, where he will record his second comedy special.
The host of the 2025 Juno Awards for Comedy Album of the Year was also a runner-up in the SiriusXM Top Comic Competition, a semifinalist on Canada’s Got Talent, and a top finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition.

Lunar New Year at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

What: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is hosting Year of the Horse celebrations on Feb. 21 and 22, with Lion Dances, cultural cuisine, tea ceremonies, calligraphy, and more. The garden will also be decorated with plenty of red lanterns for the perfect Lunar New Year photo.

Cardi B
What: Cardi B will touchdown in Vancouver’s Rogers Arena at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2026, as part of the Little Miss Drama Tour.
The tour is in support of Cardi B’s second studio album, Am I the Drama?, which came out in September. She is also the first solo female artist in Grammy history to win the Best Rap Album award.

Lunar New Year at Museum of Surrey
What: The Museum of Surrey, in partnership with the Chinese Village Club, hosts a free Lunar New Year event on Feb. 21. Guests will also learn about the history of the Lunar New Year, as well as Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures.

What: Just For Laughs Vancouver returns this February for a milestone year, and it’s bringing a bunch of hilarious acts to join the comedy celebration.
The 10th annual Just For Laughs (JFL) Vancouver takes place until Sunday, Feb. 22.

Blueprint Events
What: Season 2 of the Whistler Winter Music Series is going strong until the springtime, with a variety of concerts and venues perfect for epic après-ski vibes.
Saturday, Feb. 21, will feature It’s Murph, AKA Garrett Murphy. He’ll be taking over the GLC with a production of euphoric melodies, edgy basslines, and sonically expansive atmospheres.
ÆON:MODE, AKA JP Orchison, is bringing his Quantum Tour to Après Après for a special 360 set on Friday, Feb. 27.
And Eli Brown will also be making his Whistler debut at GLC on Friday, Feb. 27.

Year of the Horse at the Chinese Canadian Museum
What: The Chinese Canadian Museum invites you to a festive weekend of celebrations in honour of the Year of the Horse, with drop-in crafts, treats, live performances, and more.
There will also be a cooking workshop where you can learn how to make a Lunar New Year Prosperity Salad with Chef Christopher Leow. Advance registration is required, and the cost is just $5 plus GST per participant.
