Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade 2026

What: The largest Vaisakhi parade in the world is taking place in Surrey this spring, and organizers are expecting to draw another huge turnout for the festivities.
Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade, organized by Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar, will take place on Saturday, April 18.
Over 600,000 people are expected to attend the parade that is full of colourful floats, live music and dancers, as well as community groups.

Say Mercy! x The Mackenzie Room
What: From April 13 to May 10, Say Mercy! will be returning inside The Mackenzie Room, bringing with it its Southern BBQ-inspired dishes that built its initial cult following.
For five weeks, Say Mercy! will be offering a tasting menu for two, titled “Just the two of us,” which will feature bites like its Sweet and Smoky BBQ Bolo, Original Shrimp and Grits, Smoked Ribs, and its buttery soft Parker House rolls.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs Sporting Kansas City
What: Vancouver Whitecaps continue their MLS season this weekend with a Friday night game at BC Place against Sporting Kansas City on April 17.

Harrison Tulip Festival

Harrison Tulip Festival
What: Now open daily until at least May 3, the Harrison Tulip Festival in Agassiz invites visitors to experience Canada’s largest tulip festival.
Spanning 45 acres, the festival features more than 14 million blooms, including tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. Guests can wander vibrant flower fields, explore the four-acre Show Garden, and enjoy food trucks, floral workshops, yoga sessions, and the illuminated Night Garden, which takes place within the Show Garden on select dates.
The festival promises unforgettable spring colour and immersive seasonal experiences.

End of Greatness
What: Acclaimed performers and longtime friends and collaborators Veda Hille and Maiko Yamamoto take the audience on a wild journey in End of Greatness.
Get swept up in stories and songs about songs and stories about moss, mushrooms, sisterhood, parenthood and a few big cosmological ideas at The Cultch’s Historic Theatre.

What: Nine dancers, nine drummers, thunder unleashed.
Channelling ancient rituals of catharsis, Australia’s Stephanie Lake Company fuses different dance styles to create choreographic fission. A kind of performative ordnance, explosive in its sheer power, Manifesto takes inspiration from the primeval connection between drumming and dancing, combining attack and rhythm, chaos and order to create obliterating dynamism.

Ohana Comedy Show
What: A comedy show with a tropical twist. Ohana Comedy Show blends world-class stand-up with the beauty of Polynesian dance at the intimate China Cloud Studios.
Hosted by viral comedian Yumi Nagashima, the lineup features Chris Griffin, Marlene Swidzinski, and Gavin Clarkson. Inspired by the Hawaiian spirit of “Ohana (family),” the night promises big laughs, vibrant energy, and a joyful community vibe.

Shrek The Musical
