Vancouver Web Fest announces official selections

Vancouver Web Fest has announced its official selections following its web series festival.

The Vancouver Web Fest “celebrates the progressive evolution of entertainment and programming created exclusively for the Internet.”

And after receiving hundreds of submissions from around the world, the Vancouver Web Fest has narrowed down its list of official selections (that are listed in alphabetical order):

The Web Festival will celebrate its inaugural event from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4 at Imperial Vancouver (319 Main Street).

Once again, the Vancouver Web Fest has gathered “top local professionals” within the entertainment industry to appear on the judge’s panel. The professional to appear on the judge’s panel include:

  • Walter Daroshin (Troika Pictures, Leo Awards);
  • Paul Armstrong (Crazy 8s, Celluloid Social Club, etc.);
  • Christine Elise McCarthy (L.A. Actress and author); and
  • Marina Darling (Actress and Philanthropist)

Set to join the judges are several celebrity panelists, judges and M.C.’s, including:

  • Mackenzie Gray;
  • Dan Payne;
  • Siobhan McCarthy;
  • Alex Zahara;
  • Paul Lazenby; and,
  • Rob Bruner

More names will be added in the next couple of months to the list of panelists, judges and MCs.

Lori Triolo, who will be MCing the award ceremony, will also be involved in a special session of The Cold Reading Series on Saturday, May 3.
