Vancouver Web Fest 2014

The very first of its kind, the Vancouver Web Fest is well, coming to Vancouver!

The Vancouver Web Fest (VWF) celebrates the diversity and evolution of film that is created exclusively for the Internet. Being part of this tech-savvy generation, the Internet and all of its wonder have played a part in bringing people together through film and this is not something that is unheard of. Instead, it should be celebrated.

This festival spans over three days; May 2 to May 4 at the Imperial Vancouver, and will showcase the submissions from all over the world, crossing all genres such as comedy, drama, documentaries, thrillers, animations and more.

The highlights of this festival will include networking gala nights to web series screenings and panel discussion; surrounded by the glorious aura of art and entertainment.

Among the panelists, judges, MC’s, and entertainers are well known, experienced individuals that have been a part of the Vancouver film and entertainment industry. These industry professionals include;

WALTER DAROSHIN Troika Pictures Inc, and Leo Awards, PAUL ARMSTRONG Crazy 8s, Celluloid Social Club, etc., CHRISTINE ELISE MCCARTHY Actress & Author, and MARINA DARLING Philanthropist, SONIA SUVAGAU Director & Writer, MACKENZIE GRAY, Man of Steel, DAN PAYNE, The Cabin in the Woods, SIOBHAN MCCARTHY, Parked, ALEX ZAHARA, Stargate SG-1, PAUL LAZENBY, The Tomorrow People, MORGAN BRAYTON, Comedian, AREN ALTMAN, Business & Entertainment Law, MIKE CAVERS, The Character Guys, RYAN CATHERWOOD, Producer, LAURA ADKIN, Actress & Producer, SOTOS PETRIDES, The Super Alliance, TRACEY MACK, VFS, IVAN HAYDEN Visual Effects, JASON FISCHER, Director, Producer & Writer and ROB BRUNER, Actor & Producer, STEPHANIE MICHELLE SCOTT, fan engagement specialist, ENRIQUE SOISSA, Country Manager (Canada) at Dailymotion, LORI TRIOLO and DAVID LEWIS will be MCing the Award Ceremony. Special guests include saxophonist JOHN SPIBY, The Falcon Lady, Joanne Bentley and Braun McAsh, Sword Master.
