After a stretch of freezing temperatures brought a chill to Vancouver, it may be time to break out the lighter jackets this week.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is calling for a jump in temperatures across the region until at least the end of the month.
You will need your umbrella, though, as rain returns to the forecast starting on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The weather agency is calling for temperatures to reach highs of 10°C starting on Tuesday and running through to Sunday, Feb. 1.
This aligns with what ECCC meteorologist Bobby Sekhon recently shared with Daily Hive.
“It looks more like [the] week may warm back up, with more unsettled conditions,” said Sekhon. “Trend is looking warmer towards the end of the month.”
Overnight lows will also stay warm, with temperatures only dropping to 6°C on Tuesday and Friday evening.

You’ll want to hold tight onto your umbrellas during the rain, as the ECCC forecast also calls for wind for much of this week.
