Those craving a little more heat in their Vancouver forecast are in luck, as temperatures are set to rise this week. But showers aren’t done with the region, yet.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is calling for sunshine to dominate most of the next seven days, from Monday, July 13, until Sunday, July 19.
Monday’s temperatures will reach up to 26°C inland, and make things feel up to 30°C inland with the humidex.
However, Tuesday will spike even higher, with temperatures reaching 27°C inland, and humidex pushing it up to 30°C inland.

“With higher humidity in the region, it will feel hotter, so you can usually add a couple of degrees to what the temps are,” explained ECCC meteorologist Bobby Sekhon.
“Temperatures will be near or above normal this week. It’s summertime, so take the usual cautions and enjoy it safely.”
ECCC is calling for cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of showers on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
This is due to what Sekhon describes as an upper low system developing off the coast of Washington.
“It will move through the South Coast later this week, on Wednesday and Thursday,” he told Daily Hive. “It’s not overly organized, but it may bring up some scattered showers in the area.”
