Just in time for the (official) first day of winter, it appears that – for now at least – the cold snap that has gripped the Lower Mainland recently has finally decided to loosen its hold.
According to Environment Canada, temperatures are expected to hover around 5°C this week, with even the lowest temperatures still staying at – or above – the freezing level.
However, if your immediate plans include getting out of town and heading somewhere like Whistler, then you should still be prepared for sub-zero temperatures.
The first day of winter is December 21.
