After the riots were over and the dust settled thousands of Vancouverites came to clean up and leave a message on the boarded up walls at The Bay downtown. What began only at The Bay morphed into an outpouring of support for all those businesses affected by the idiocy that was the Vancouver riot.
Then came the call on how to save this wall. Well News 1130 has just reported that the wall will be preserved at The Museum of Vancouver. Not sure if other businesses will also be donating pieces of their wall.
Sources also indicated that the city wants to use a few of the boards as public art. I’ve also heard that many shop owners want to keep the boards so they can memorialize them in their store.
This is my Vancouver.
More on this as it develops…
