For better or worse the city of Vancouver’s view cone policy has restricted the height of buildings in downtown Vancouver. The current tallest tower is the Shangri-La at near 200 metres. The next tallest slated for development is the Ritz-Carlton, if that ever gets built. Not long ago these heights were considered to be too tall for Vancouver. Will the height limitations change yet again?
No doubt skyscraper junkies like UD are salivating at the possibility of taller towers in Vancouver. Well now is your chance to have your say and perhaps stick it to the NIMBY’s, after all I know a plenty of trees that get in the way of my view. I say we cut them down.
