Starting this winter, Vancouver will have even more flights to Delhi, India, with Air Canada increasing services to five times weekly in December.

The non-stop flights will operate between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

The seasonal Vancouver-Delhi service will begin operating on October 14, 2017:

  • October 14 – November 11: three flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
  • November 12 – December 2: four flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
  • December 3 – January 31, 2018: five flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday

In February and March 2018, the service will be reduced to four times a week again and in April 2018, the service will be reduced to three flights a week.

At the end of April 2018 direct flights from Vancouver to Delhi will cease, and will begin again next fall as part of Air Canada’s seasonal schedule.

The Vancouver to Delhi service be operated on Air Canada’s state-of-the-art Dreamliner planes, spokesperson Angela Mah said.

“We’re delighted to be resuming our seasonal non-stop flights from YVR to Delhi, with even more flights this year and right in time for Diwali celebrations,” she said.

The times of flights to Delhi will change due to daylight savings time zones and other operational factors, said Mah.

As well, fares to Delhi rapidly change, she added. You can subscribe to email offers, including fare specials, on the Air Canada website.
