Huge Vancouver tech exhibition to welcome around 11,000 people in August

2025 has seen some major events come to Vancouver, in some cases bringing historic numbers of attendees, and that continues next month with a major tech exhibition.

That event is SIGGRAPH 2025, and it has some huge sponsors, including Nvidia, Adobe, and Meta. Keynote speakers include leaders from these companies.

The event is just around the corner, taking place between August 10 and August 14 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West Building.

2025 marks SIGGRAPH’s 52nd year, and Destination Vancouver has shared some expectations for the event with Daily Hive.

If you’re into experimental and innovative technology, this is the event for you.

SIGGRAPH calls itself “the premier conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques.”

The event has been hosted in Vancouver on several occasions, including in 2011, 2014, 2018, and 2022. Destination Vancouver believes the 2011 iteration was the first time the conference was held outside of the United States.

Currently, the expectation is that around 11,000 people will attend; however, the final number will be confirmed by the organizers closer to the event.

Destination Vancouver also informed Daily Hive that SIGGRAPH is considered a citywide conference, with at least 1,000 room attendees (meaning an attendee who will book a hotel).

Throughout the event, various scheduled programs are held each day, including a job fair on Aug. 12 and 13. There will also be an immersive pavilion, and virtual reality fans will have some fun experiences to try.

Early registration for the event has passed, but if you’re still interested in registering, full pricing details are available on the website. Students are eligible for a lower entry fee. If you’re unemployed, you may also qualify for a discount.

Work and innovation submissions are now closed for the event.

Earlier this month, the International Alcoholics Anonymous Convention rolled into town, and attendance numbers suggested it was the largest convention in the city’s history. Before that, the Web Summit, another major tech event, visited Vancouver, drawing huge numbers of attendees from around the world.

There’s still plenty of 2025 left, and we have more big events to share with you in the coming weeks.
